The Forever Fit 50 & Beyond: Jacksonville Senior Games are sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation and is a qualifier for the Florida Senior Games State Championships. Being healthy and active is not only important for physical and mental well being. This is why the Forever Fit 50 & Beyond: Jacksonville Senior Games offers non-physical games and activities, as well as plenty of social events that allow our participants to renew friendships, create new ones and share experiences. In the spirit of good sportsmanship, anything is possible!

On Oct. 12 at 10 a.m., the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department will conduct its annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial March, also known as the “Sea of Blue.” Hundreds of off-duty firefighters in dress uniform will gather near the foot of South Hogan Street, adjacent to The Jacksonville Landing, to participate in this commemorative procession which honors local firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
