As we honor and remember those lost during September 11, 2001, we also celebrate our military who protect our country and fight for our freedoms at home and abroad each day.

Meet Spec. James Kevin Thomas and the 377th Quartermaster Company who are stationed at Camp Stone in Herat, Afghanistan. This unique Army Reserve unit is comprised of Gator fans from Jacksonville, Florida and Bulldog fans from Macon, Georgia. Their primary mission is to run gun trucks in a convoy to bring soldiers, food and supplies to the camp each day.

As you can see, there is a fierce football rivalry amongst the unit and they are looking forward to cheering on their team as they watch the big game from Afghanistan! A heartfelt thanks to Spec. Thomas for sharing these photos with us and God speed for a safe return home. You are true American heroes!
