Science festivals are large, inspiring celebrations of the fascinating world of science and technology. Science festivals establish science as a part of the local culture, attracting the attention and potential participation of everyone living and working in a community.
WHAT IS JSF AT A GLANCE?
All students, teachers, experts, organizations, local businesses and community partners coming together to celebrate education with all of the Jacksonville community and surrounding regions.
Student driven questions that lead to student led projects in collaboration with teachers and local community experts related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math). Booths include interactive STEAM activities, gained knowledge and skills, along with any artifacts that will enhance the experience of the attendee and community.
March 1st & 2nd: Florida State College at Jacksonville FSCJ South Campus 9am- 2pm
March 3rd: Friendship Fountain Park 10am- 3pm
To serve as a vehicle for educational equity and justice for K-12 students by providing a city wide event that promotes student driven STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math ) projects that use strategic collaboration with teachers, experts in STEAM fields, mentors and local businesses making it a vital force important to our culture, education and the economy.
