Join Mayor Alvin Brown for the "Es Mi Vida" Hispanic Expo on Saturday, October 4 at the Schultz Center for Training and Leadership. The expo will serve as an opportunity to connect our local community with the services and resources necessary for personal and professional growth.

Join Mayor Alvin Brown for the Jax Soul Series. Five shows, five nights of soulful entertainment in Jacksonville.

Veterans Memorial Arena
The NBA's New Orleans Pelicans and the Washington Wizards will kick off their 2014-15 season with a preseason game at Veterans Memorial Arena on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. Game day will feature a pre-game NBA Fan Fest on the plaza outside of the Arena with interactive displays, games, and music.

Held on Friday, October 31 in recognition of the nation's premier collegiate rivalry, the Hall of Fame serves to acknowledge the great achievements that have made the Georgia-Florida game one of college football's greatest traditions.

This patriotic parade features more than 4,00 participants including grand marshals, senior military officials, active-duty and retired military units, veterans groups, local high school marching bands, military organizations, decorative floats, giant balloons, JROTC units and more!

The 23rd Annual Mayor’s Environmental Awards will honor companies, groups and individuals who’ve made positive impacts on Northeast Florida’s environment. This year's theme is "Advancing Environmental Stewardship" with a focus on encouraging others to take a positive role in preserving the environment.
